New Product Release – 3 Auger Horizontal Mixers
12/11/18 – New Product Release
We’re pleased to introduce a new product line – 3 Auger Horizontal Mixers – known as the H Series mixers (available in the US). This Series is currently made up of two trailer mounted mixer models, the H360 and H460, ranging in capacity from 320 to 472 cubic feet. These mixers have a proven history of delivering where it matters. They feature a simple yet strong and rugged design for the best in reliability and mix and feed out a consistently mixed ration every time. Built in the same factory as our Vertical Mixer lineup means these mixers are built to the same standard and quality our customers have come to expect of our products. This mixer has long served the livestock industry in providing a mixing solution suitable for any herd size or operation, and broadens NDEco’s reach in serving the needs of livestock producers everywhere.
The simple rugged build includes heavy duty walls and floor, reinforced end walls, a strong tubular frame and a solid single axle with super single tires. The Upper augers are 24″ in diameter, built with 3/8″ thick notched flighting, while the lower auger is a large 30” diameter auger with a thicker ½” notched flighting. The augers are driven by a reliable and efficient chain drive system with the lower auger serving as the drive shaft, using hardened sprockets and industrial bearings mounted on the outside. The drive system is fully enclosed with a large door for easy serviceability.
The standard discharge is a 4’ long auger or chain discharge. A longer 5’ discharge is available, along with options such as a hydraulic lift, rubber flip chute and steel flip chutes with or without magnets.
A variety of Ration Management systems and remote display monitors are available by Weigh-Tronix or Digistar.
The large 30” lower auger enables this mixer to perform as well or better than other 4-auger wagon mixers on the market. It performs exceptionally well in mixing a consistent ration and ensures fast unloading and complete cleanout. It also serves as the drive shaft from the planetary to the chain drive system, lowering overall maintenance.
With this kind of performance of a 3-auger mixer and its simpler design, the overall cost and maintenance of this mixer holds a large advantage over other mixers on the market.
Currently consisting of two models, our plan is to add additional models to this line-up in the future, including 4 Auger Truck mount configurations.
