Day 4 - Last day of visits this week is to the Hof

Day 4 - Last day of visits this week is to the Hofer Farm feedlot in Huron SD. After running horizontals for a long time they got their first vertical mixer 2 years ago, the FS1400D feeding up to 30,000 lb high roughage loads, and just added the FS1200D. It's cut down their feeding time by a lot and overall very satisfied with the results.
The FS1400D is the second largest mixer offering at 1425 ft3 capacity, while the FS1200D is a 1180 ft3 mixer. Both are heavy duty mixers well suited for bigger operations in both beef and dairy.

Day 3 of 4 - We're at Olinger Feedlot with an FS10

Day 3 of 4 - We're at Olinger Feedlot with an FS1000D dual auger mixer, feeding a herd up to 4000. It's their first #NDEco feed mixer.
The FS1000D is a heavy duty 1000 ft3 mixer, with this one featuring bigger flotation tires to handle any terrain.

Day 2 - Feeding beef cattle in Brookings SD proces

Day 2 - Feeding beef cattle in Brookings SD processing bales and long stem forages. Currently they're doing 2 loads a day and up to 8 loads once the grazing stops. "Getting this mixer is the most cost saving thing I've done for my operation, and I no longer need a bale grinder" says the owner.
The FS700 is the largest heavy duty single auger mixer in the lineup with a 650 ft3 capacity.

We're on the road this week and will be featuring 4 mixers/farms in 4 days. Look for more footage on YouTube coming up.
Today's visit was to a 125 cow dairy in Waubun, MN, feeding 3 14,000 lb loads a day with the U700D. They previously ran a single screw S500.
The U700D is compact, has a capacity of 700 cu. ft and a low loading height as low as 100" to fit well in any dairy.
